The AeroGrow AeroGarden is the best way to start a garden indoors. This is a hydroponic system, which means no dirt and no mess! You put water and plant food in the base, along with the seeds. The light fixture is on top.
I love the aerogarden! my husband got me one for Christmas last year. He was in Iraq all year and having the warm light and growing plants was so cheering for me…especially in the long winter months. My mom liked it so much that we got one for her for christmas this year! Thank you for a wonderful product that grows plants AND cheer!
Hydroponics is easy to set up when you’re a hobbyist, but if you have aspirations of becoming a master grower, you owe it to yourself to read the best hydroponics newsletter on the web.

In This video I show the various CFL Grow Lights that I have used the past few years and compare. They are all from local stores such as Menards and Home Depot. I mention the prices and light output for each. I also show hydroponic tomatoes that are a little over 2 weeks old. The largest bulb I show is the maximum length that the fixture can hnadle that I built in a previous video.
I planted these Bell Peppers from seed on July 9th, 2009. I took this video on November 15th 2009. I started to get peppers at the end of September. I currently have about 15 peppers on the plants. The more I pollinate, the more peppers I get. It’s really a pepper machine! I’m using a mix of two 300 Watt, 2700k bulbs and two 200 Watt 6700k bulbs.
This is a video showing hydroponic lettuce growing under the lights that I made in my other video “How To Build a CFL Grow Light Fixture – CHEAP!”. I’ve been making a video from seed to harvest using these lights along with a hydroponic system shown in this video. I’ll post that as soon as it’s all together after my harvest. Comments and suggestions welcome. Take Care.
